As a performer in the Southwest in the early days of rock'n'roll, I salute Norton Records for saving and issuing the records that display a unique flavor of the region in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The raw, enthusiastic sounds broke new ground, and I am so pleased that Norton makes it possible for new listeners to taste the nostalgia.
