Kicks #1 reprint
Kicks #1 ! Sweet! so much great stuff in here. Keith Allison and Vince Taylor in the same mag makes this a keeper for sure.

A flawless reproduction of KICKS #1. Perfect bound and worth every red cent.
Essential, mandatory reading — right along side anything written by Nick Tosches, Colin Escott and Peter Guralnick. Informative and entertaining from cover to cover (better than CREEM). Reading all seven issues prevents cultural bankruptcy and you graduate top of the class with honors.

ALMOST
Had the magazine sent to Pittsburgh where I plan to pick it up in Dec. Talking Pittsburgh loved Meriam's work on the three CDs of Mad Mike. She should have had a Grammy nomination for liner notes. Therefore ALMOST.

Get Your Kicks..
Well, this is the unearthed scroll found on the banks of the Gowanus Canal in the late 70s by construction workers on the eternal BQE project. Fortunately, no one was hurt and they brought it to the most knowledgeable dynamic duo of Miller and Linna to decipher. And that they did. Secrets left hidden for ages were revealed to a select following in the thrift store / record show Illuminati. Soon, other scrolls were found and a legion of turban wearing men and hopped up gals were amassing. The Horror... Well, actually this is just a tremendous collection of stuff you won't find anywhere else in a good humored, man/woman on the street, have you heard the good word, brotherly way. Way beyond my paygrade. Buy it. Buy it, today. Buy more, while they last. Corrupt a niece or nephew while you still can. They'll thank you or shoot you. Whatever it takes. The Siren of Prospect Park will be grateful and appreciate your offering to The Voola.

Confused
I'm not sure what's going on here. I put this on my turntable but there's no hole in the center and the tonearm just travels amok all over the surface. The sound may be a bit 'arty' but I won't be trying to play this again unless, perhaps, I can play bongos as an accompaniment.

One of the great fanzines
My first encounter with Kicks (along with #7) and it is everything that I was led to believe. Pages jump out at you, the enthusiasm is palpable and rock and roll lives in these pages.
