Fort Worth ,Texas Music Explosion Of The 1960s
Volume One of this series opens with an incendiary blast version of "Train Kept A-Rollin' " by The Cynics during 1966. This number had been recorded by the famous Yardbirds in the U.K. The Cynics' version is actually better than The Yardbirds. The other 23 tracks of various contemporary local Forth Worth are equally explosive ,mostly original compositions. The gem among these gems is Larry & The Blue Notes previously unissued original "Night Of The Sadist" which they officially issued as "Night Of The Phantom". This CD is a vital addition to any mid-1960s garage band collection.
